Fur wool - European Merino 50 g - For Felting, Thick Knitting and Spinning

Our 50-gram European Merino fur wool is perfect for creative projects such as felting, thick knitting and spinning. This medium-fine wool, with a thickness of 27 microns, is produced in the EU according to strict organic standards. The wool is guaranteed mulesing-free and has a smaller carbon footprint compared to merino wool from warmer regions.

How long is that Wool Roving?

Wool is usually sold by weight. But sometimes you want to know how long the Wool Roving you get is. The different packages contain the lengths listed below. Note: this is an approximation. The length can differ per type of wool, per color or per production. And the harder you pull, the longer the roving becomes.

50 grams = approx. 2 meters

Instructions for use European Merino Wool:

  • For Plaids, Cushions and More: For a 120 x 150 cm plaid, you will need about 3 kilos, a 50 x 50 cm cushion about 1 kilo, and a 20 x 120 cm scarf about 500 grams.
  • Fuse together: Fan out, lay on top of each other, roll lightly together and continue knitting. You won't see any of it after knitting.

Colour fastness and washing instructions: Our fur wool is dyed with safe, high-quality modern synthetic dyes. Although stable, they can fade with light and washing. The wool is not treated with Superwash chemicals and may shrink and felt when washed.

Order enough wool: Each batch of wool can vary in colour and texture, so order enough for your project to avoid colour differences.
