Dit boek gaat over kleuren en materialen. Het is een boek vol informatie en inspiratie, om te lezen en te doen. Ik laat je van begin tot eind zien hoe je van planten en hun kleurstoffen inkt en ook lakpigmenten kunt maken. Een ambacht dat bijna nergens meer wordt uitgeoefend! Ik laat zien waar je aardepigmenten kunt verzamelen en hoe je deze filtert. Ook vertel ik hoe je van deze natuurlijke pigmenten vervolgens verf, pastel- en waskrijt maakt. Ik vertel de geschiedenis van verschillende schildertechnieken.
Ingrediënten van bindmiddelen komen aan bod en we maken handgeschept papier. Als bonus laat ik je zien hoe je prachtige eco-prints maakt op papier!
Dit boek wordt rond de 240 pagina’s dik. Het krijgt een krasvaste fullcolour kaft met linnen rug en leeslintje. Het staat vol met mooie foto’s en stap voor stap hoofdstukken, zodat je gemakkelijk de handelingen kunt volgen. Het is niet alleen een boek boordevol informatie, maar vooral een uniek item. Het Kleurboek door Jill de Vries is tot stand gekomen na 5 jaar intensieve studie op het gebied van natuurlijk verven en aanverwante technieken. In en rond haar atelier in Almere heeft Jill de kennis en kunde opgebouwd om haar eigen verfstoffen te verbouwen en verwerken. Vervolgens heeft ze om het 20 jarig bestaan van haar atelier te vieren een crowdfunding actie opgezet om dit boek te kunnen schrijven en uitbrengen!
Wij zijn onwijs blij dat Jill haar expertise in dit prachtige boek met mensen deelt en raden dit boek aan voor iedereen die zelf met natuurlijk verven bezig wil van de wortels in de grond tot eindresultaat.
