Description
Irene van der Wolf is the inventor of the Upwolfing technique, the felting of small 3-dimensional shapes using perforated Upwolfing foam rubber mats. You can also cut these shapes open to get special color effects. See Irene's website www.kunstwolf.nl for detailed information about this technique. There are also some youtube videos waiting for you.
Open structures
Shortly after the publication of parts IIIA and IIIB of her ?large? book series Image in sight, Irene found completely new creative applications of her Upwolfing technique. Now in combination with thin strips of needle felt (needle fleece), with which beautiful open structures can be made. Surprising, subtle color effects are created, especially when using double-sided needled fleece. She decided to make this small and accessible booklet about this to demonstrate the new possibilities.
Practical booklet
UPWOLFING with strips of needle felt is practical. With a UPWOLFING mat and some needle fleece you can get started in no time. The booklet shows inspiring examples of clothing, scarves and bags of great colors and shapes.
