Description
Widely applicable
This beautiful quality wool comes from South American merino sheep and is therefore mulesing-free. It is dyed child-friendly in Germany in accordance with the ökotex-100 standard in 54 different colours.
This merino wool felts excellently and gives a very nice, subtly shiny result. With a fineness of 27 microns, this wool is just too coarse for many people to make clothes that are worn next to the skin. Then you have a chance that he will itch. But it can also be used widely, for example for making bags, notebook covers, wool paintings, slippers, rugs, etc. This wool is also widely used by schools for felting with children.
How long is that Wool Roving?
Wool is usually sold by weight. But sometimes you want to know how long the fuse you get. The different packages contain the lengths listed below. Note: this is an approximation. The length can differ per type of wool, per color or per production. And the harder you pull, the longer the fuse becomes.
50 grams = approx. 2 meters
250 grams = approx. 10 meters
1 kilo = approx. 40 meters
Order enough!
A natural product such as wool is not always the same. Every flock, sheep and shearing season is different. Therefore, make sure that you order enough wool for your project in one go. We cannot guarantee that you will receive exactly the same wool with your next order.
Colourfast? Washable?
Modern, high-quality synthetic dyes are used for our Wool Roving. These have a high coloring power, they are non-toxic and they are very stable. However, they can fade under the influence of light, as is the case with all textiles. The extent to which this happens depends very much on the color. The wool can also fade or give off color when washed. You sometimes notice the latter during felting. Pay particular attention to colors such as bright pink and hard turquoise. Wear work clothes that can get a stain!

Colour is slightly lighter than in real life. I had ordered the same colour last time, so knew what I would get.
