This transparent and CGK- and chlorine-free rubber-based contact adhesive is suitable for bonding MDF, chipboard, plywood, polyether, textiles, leather, foam, insulation materials, carpets and felt! The glue is not suitable for soft PVC and polystyrene. The glue is resistant to temperatures up to approx. 90?C. That makes it also suitable for, for example, covering cars, campers and boats with felt. These can get quite hot when the sun is on them.

Consumption

Meiboom contact glue is supplied in aerosol cans with a content of 500 ml. When used correctly, this is good for an area of up to 5 square meters. Attention, this?is?one-sided. When?contact?glue you always need?both surfaces?inject! So count on a double amount of glue. The spray cans are sealed. Unopened buses can be returned.

Using the spray can

Shake well before use. Hold the spray can vertically, at an angle of 90 degrees and a distance of 10 to 25 cm from the surface to be sprayed. Apply a layer of adhesive of an even thickness in strips. It is better not to apply the strips in a zigzag movement, but to spray the strips one after the other in one direction. For a permanent bond, apply the adhesive to both surfaces and allow to dry for 2 to 4 minutes. Then join the surfaces and press/roll with force. With proper use, you can spray a maximum of 5 square meters on one side with an aerosol. Process at room temperature. Make a test beforehand to see if the glue is suitable for the materials you want to bond.

• Do not breathe vapours.
• Use only in well-ventilated areas.
• Avoid contact with eyes.
• The aerosol is under high pressure.
• Keep away from children.
• Read the safety information and operating instructions.

Advantages of spraying

By spraying the adhesive under pressure, very little solvent is used. That means only limited odor nuisance and a fast drying time. You are much less exposed to harmful substances than when using glue that is applied with a brush or comb. Because this glue is rubber based, it does not cause glue mist.

Other glues

Felt can be glued with almost any type of glue that is suitable for paper, wood or textiles. For example the well-known white wood glue, bookbinders glue, textile glue, universal hobby glue, contact glues such as Bison Kit, floor covering sealant and wallpaper glues for heavy (textile) wallpaper types. For small work?pieces you can usually use a tube of textile?glue or book?binders?glue. For gluing Design needle felt and Bergschaap needle felt, which have a fairly open and rough structure, a type of glue with a high adhesive strength is required.

Please note that dark glues may show through when using light and/or thin felt. Also note that many types of glue contain moisture, which can cause the glue to "seep" through the felt, warp the substrate or shrink.

Always test

Whatever type of glue you use, always make a test first! Test with a small piece of felt beforehand whether the adhesive is suitable for gluing felt and for the relevant substrate.
