Advantages of mold foil
Many people use regular bubble wrap or cardboard to make molds for their felting. Bubble wrap is actually too soft for that and cardboard molds can only be used once because they get wet and fall apart. This plastic mold film has many advantages:
- Sturdy and durable, can be used several times.
- Rough surface provides extra friction for felting.
- Flexible, therefore easy to remove from the hollow felt mould.
- Because of the thickness of the foil you can feel the shape of the mold well through the wool.
