Have you always wanted to knit one of those nice, warm and stylish XXL blankets made of fur wool? Below you can see a work description on how you can do it!

This blanket is knitted with fur wool and measures 1.2 metres high and 1.2 metres wide.

The size may differ when you use other needles. It is also possible to arm knit a blanket with this yarn. If you prefer to make the blanket higher, simply adjust the number of stitches, but make sure you have a multiple of 2 stitches.

Supplies

• Knitting needles or circular knitting needles 35-50 mm.
• 3 kilo Lontwol
• Darning needle

Used for this picture: New Zealand merino 401. But you can of course use other types and colours.

Stitches used

• Straight
• Purl

Work description

• Cast on 20 stitches to begin with.
• Round 1: Knit all stitches.
• Round 2: Purl all stitches.

Repeat rounds 1 and 2 alternately a total of 18 times and fasten off on 19th round

Finish

Weave away all thread ends (easiest to do this with your hands) so that the blanket is completely finished.
