This spring we let ourselves be carried away in the Ibiza style. This style emerges not only in our clothing and our homes, but also in our creativity. Think of implementing materials and Ibiza colors such as moss green, soft pink and clear ecru. Combine this with, for example, rattan, (macrame) rope and washed wood and you have the perfect Ibiza feeling.

In this inspiration post we show you how to make your own Ibiza style cushion, using our Warp&Weave loom and Meerfelt! European Merino Wick Wool.

Let's start:

For setting up your loom and weaving view our How to assemble your loom and Weave Basics inspiration posts.

Once your loom is up, it is first time to choose; do you want to use a whole fuse or split it? The advantage of splitting is that you get a thinner wick and therefore a more refined cushion.

Start weaving on both sides of your loom and press the wool well. Make sure both sides are even. Do you have the base? Then we have a few videos below to get the details perfect on your Warp&weave Ibiza style cushion.

Finally, close the pillow, open the loom and remove the weaving. Because you take it out, you don't have to tie off the entire pillow, but you can only tie 2 corners to close it. We have already made fringes on 2 sides, because the work is now out of the loom you can also cover the other sides with fringes in the same way.

How do you turn your weaving into a pillow? There are 2 options:

With a piece of our doll jersey you can sew a pillow yourself, exactly the right size, and fill it with lontwol. Next, sew your weave to the front of the cushion. Or, if this is too much for you, buy a cushion of the correct size and sew the weave onto it.

Time to enjoy your Ibiza pillow

Now it's time to relax on the couch, leaning against your homemade Ibiza style cushions.

There are so many ways to make pillows with a Warp&weave loom. Now that you've mastered the basics, it's time to let loose!
